As part of its 8th annual benefit concert, Green Bay-based rock band Annex has expanded the event to include two full nights of performances in Green Bay and Appleton by some of Northeast Wisconsin’s biggest acts. Annex guitarist and leader Paul Hanna states, “response to last year’s show was so overwhelming, we felt there was a great opportunity to do more for our cause in 2010″.

The first Tommy benefit took place in 2003 to memorialize original Annex bassist Tom Steinbruecker, who lost his life in a tragic motorcycle accident that summer. Hanna decided to put together a show that not only celebrated his friend’s life, but also gave back to the music community. Proceeds from the annual event are distributed to various scholarship funds and used to purchase instruments for organizations that support continuing music education.

This year’s benefit will kick off at Tanner’s in Kimberly, WI on Saturday, November 20th at 6pm. Performers will include A-Town Unplugged, Roof Top Jumpers, BoxKar, Greg Waters and the Broad Street Boogie, Road Trip, and Annex.

The second show is slated for Friday, November 26 at the Riverside Ballroom in Green Bay, WI. Beginning at 6pm, performers will include Tomorrow’s Yesterday, Gin, Replica, Johnny Wad, and Annex.
